Welcome to the Village of Wellsville's Web site! Our goal is to provide you with a user friendly site containing contact information regarding the Village. While doing so, we also want to focus on the residents of Wellsville, giving it a more personal feel.
The idea of this site came about when visiting www.baardenergy.com. While reading their Ohio River Clean Fuels article regarding their new project in Wellsville, note was made that a link to Wellsville, Ohio from Baard's site could open many possibilities for the Village. We are living in a technical age where if you can not be accessed via the Internet, you most likely do not exist or at least the effort to contact the person/agency/service becomes much less, possibly non-existent. By creating this site, we are linking people to us from outside our area. There are many changes about to take place in this small village and we cannot take the chance of being overlooked simply because we are not readily available to potential interested parties.
Not only do we want to offer the above mentioned, we also want the good citizens of Wellsville and our neighbors to have an opportunity to promote their business, service, and/or situations in one place. There are going to be 2,500+ construction workers looking for a place to stay through the week for four plus years! We want them to be able to go to one place to find all the information needed. We are going to have to feed them, house them, and entertain them. We are not equipped to handle these needs at this point. Therefore, spin off businesses will be interested in coming to our area and will need to contact Wellsville for necessary information regarding such endeavors. We need to be prepared!
