A CHANGING WELLSVILLE
We will be following the changes taking place throughout Wellsville.
There is a good deal going on and we want to help keep you up to date in case
you happen to miss these changes as they unfold. Whether you are unable to
get out around the Village or you live away from 'home', this will be an excellent
way to eliminate any possible surprises. It will also show the public that
Wellsville is working very hard toward a better tomorrow.
If you have a project that is changing the face of Wellsville, no matter how
big or how small, please
so we can document these changes. Pride is contagious!

The Eagles - 334 Main Street
On September 15, 2007 the F.O.E. Lodge 772 on Main Street in Wellsville
had served its last customer as the old lodge. Although planning to rebuild,
the Eagles Lodge as some know it, ceased to exist. The lodge had become
unsafe and razing it became a necessity. In twenty four hours, years of
memories came crumbling down. Everyone knew it needed to be done, but there
was still a sense of sadness when talking with some of the by-standers.
Dan Galeoti, owner of Extreme Trucking and Extreme Excavating, contracted
with the Eagles for the job. He has proven himself to be one of professionalism
and determination.
The Boardwalk At First Street
It appears that the plans for the Boardwalk at First Street are in motion.
The Pete Amato Foundation has donated $15,000 toward a 90' boardwalk which
will overlook Little Yellow Creek, as well as give a you a great view of the
murals. The Revitilization Committee is in charge of the project and hopes
to see its completion in three to four weeks. At this time, there will be
a dedication ceremony marking the completion of Phase 1 of The Pete Amato
Boardwalk. They will be offering some great mural items for sale at the ceremony
such as hoodies, sweatshirts, mousepads, t-shirts, polo shirts, etc...

Seventh & Main Street
Although sad, a very necessary change occurring is at the corner of Seventh
and Main Street. Roberts Funeral Home has purchased several buildings across
the street from their place of business and is razing them to make room
for much needed parking lot.
Dan Galeoti is in charge of the project and he wastes NO time! With heavy
machinery, he slices through the buildings as if they were butter! A very
interesting site to see.
